| | Part One--Clear Out Chapter One- Be Here Now Mindfulness is abotu waking up, living in the present, and making conscious choices about what you do, say and thinkj. Choosing well- in everymoment- takes constant watchfulness. Bt it is time wellspen. In the "busyness" of living, it's easy to lose ourselves as well as the precious moments of our lives. How quickly the present becomes the past! When you concentrate on being fully present int he moment, the moments accumulate over months and years into a life well lived. Tip 1. Don't jusst do something, sit there! Take time now to look at what's going on around you. What do you see and hear? What do you feel? Stopping every once ina while makes you more aware of what you are doing when you start moving again _________________________________ commentary: Living in the here and now, rather then the there and then. This is the fundamental rule of Group therapy. Being aware of your feelings and thoughts is being pushed into the back of the mind due to the fast paced lives we live. Stop and smell the roses, take a look at the people around you, take a moment of your day to appreciate the wonders that God has created for us to enjoy. Learn to stimulate your senses, learn to enjoy our surroundings. Our lives has became so rushed taht we do not have time to pay attention to the detailes of life. When was the last time you have stopped in the street just to be awed by the colors of sunset? I know it has been a while for me. When was the last time you have smiled at a stranger looking your way? |
